Vegetative Community and Wildlife Survey

Pandion performed a countywide landscape analysis of vegetative communities and wildlife, and performed on-the-ground natural resource surveys of 35 sites. The study included threatened and endangered species inventories and assessments.

In addition, Pandion re-classified the land cover from state DOT’s classification system to Florida Natural Area Inventory classification using remote sensing, GIS, and ground-truthed field data.

Pandion wrote a detailed site-by-site report and companion report for the public. Pandion also participated in the public involvement process with the county’s Land Acquisition and Management Program (LAMP) citizen advisory group.
