Ecotourism Training
Pandion Systems offers workshops that
teach about ecotourism and nature-based tourism. The workshops
target ecotourism providers, operators, landowners, educators,
agency employees, volunteers, city and county employees, and anyone
with an interest in this rapidly-growing business area.
The program covers topics from the theories behind ecotourism
to resource management and monitoring techniques. Participants
learn how to successfully run and market their business, as well
as how to interpret the resource they are visiting.
Workshops vary in length and are held upon request or in partnership
with other agencies and colleges. Pandion has held past workshops
in conjunction with the University of North Florida, Gulf Archaeology
Research Institute, and the University of Florida.
Pandion is part of a statewide effort
to offer ecotourism training.
If you are interested in attending an upcoming workshop
or bringing a new program to your area, please contact
Christine Denny, 1-888-372-4774, or email
